The Manitoba Association’s Survivor Advisory Group was formed as a closed group of 8 women. Meetings were held virtually once per month for 8 months. In these meetings, we discussed barriers and gaps to GBV service delivery. The Survivor Advisory Group was formed to support the improvement of GBV service provision within Manitoba. The Manitoba Association of Women’s Shelters (MAWS) believes that improving service provision within the GBV sector must involve understanding the gaps, limitations, and barriers currently preventing optimal service delivery.
