Welcome to the Domestic Violence Safety Assessment Tool (DVSAT) course. This tool is used with permission from the New South Wales government who developed the DVSAT tool for use with victims of intimate partner violence.
Please review the DVSAT Guide as well as the information in this course. The DVSAT is a tool used in Manitoba shelters to assess client risk and work towards safety. In this course you will learn about:
- What risk assessment is
- Who benefits from risk assessments
- Why it is important
- How to use the DVSAT in your work with clients
